Costco Return Policy

Membership:

• You can cancel and get a refund of your membership fee at any time if you are dissatisfied.

Merchandise:

• Costco guarantees your satisfaction on every product they sell and will refund your purchase price, with some exceptions:
  • Electronics, including TVs, projectors, major appliances, computers, tablets, cameras, and more, can be returned within 90 days (from the date you received the merchandise).
  • Costco offers technical support and warranty assistance for many electronics.
  • For diamonds 1.00ct or larger, return with original paperwork (IGI and/or GIA certificates) within 48 hours for inspection by a Costco Graduate Gemologist.
  • Cigarettes and alcohol cannot be returned where prohibited by law.
  • Products with limited life expectancy, like tires and batteries, come with a product-specific limited warranty.
  • Special order kiosk and custom-installed programs are non-returnable, except for warranty repair/replacement due to specification failure.
  • Airline, live performance event items, gold bars, and gold bullion are non-refundable.

How to Return an Item:

• Items purchased at a Costco location should be returned at the returns counter in any Costco warehouse.
• Items ordered online can be returned at any Costco warehouse or initiated through Costco.com.

Accepted Payment Methods for Returns:

• Payment methods accepted for returns may differ online and in the warehouse, including Visa Cards, Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi, PIN-based Debit/ATM Cards, Costco Shop Cards, cash, personal checks, business checks, traveler’s checks, EBT cards, and mobile payment options (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay).

• For Costco.com, payment methods include Visa Cards, Costco Anywhere Visa® Card by Citi, MasterCard, Discover Cards, PIN-based Debit/ATM Cards, and Costco Shop Cards.
